Hello.
Welcome! I’m Jess, an artist based in Upstate New York, where gardens, forests, natural textures, family life, and seasonal rhythms keep teaching me how to pay attention. I believe art can shift perspective: it can slow us down, spark curiosity, and help us notice what’s been there all along.
About my work.
I’m drawn to texture and transformation: the way a simple imprint, a scraped surface, unexpected layers, or a change in light can carry meaning. My process often begins with real botanicals printed by hand in acrylic paint, then refined and layered digitally into modern compositions that feel calm, grounded, and quietly bold. More recently, that same exploration has expanded into a series of original paintings in black and white—work built through pressure, scraping, and revision, exploring overwhelm, breakthrough and the spaces where light has to fight its way in.
Across prints and originals, I’m making art that invites deeper seeing and deeper understanding—rooted in everyday resilience, quiet joy, and a gentle current of faith. With over 20 years of creative exploration, I now bring these pieces into homes and hands through fine art prints and original work. Prints are available in my Etsy shop; originals are available by inquiry.
This is slow work, made with intention. I’m grateful you’re here.
